The CVE-2010-0715 is a security vulnerability that affects IBM WebSphere Portal, IBM Lotus Web Content Management (WCM), and IBM Lotus Workplace Web Content Management versions 5.1.0.0 through 5.1.0.5, 6.0.0.0 through 6.0.0.4, 6.0.1.0 through 6.0.1.7, 6.1.0.0 through 6.1.0.3, and 6.1.5.0; and IBM Lotus Quickr services versions 8.0, 8.0.0.2, 8.1, 8.1.1, and 8.1.1.1 for WebSphere Portal. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks via the query string.
Overview
The vulnerability is caused by an open redirect issue in the login.jsp file. This allows remote attackers to redirect users to arbitrary web sites and conduct phishing attacks. The attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the query string in the URL.
Remediation
IBM has released patches to address this vulnerability. Users are advised to update their systems to the latest version to fix this vulnerability. It is also recommended to always monitor and review system logs for any unusual activities.
