The ACL-customer-status Ticket Type setting in OTRS before version 3.0.0-beta1 does not properly restrict ticket options after an AJAX reload. This allows remote authenticated users to bypass intended ACL restrictions on the Status, Service, and Queue selections.
Overview
This vulnerability in OTRS allows authenticated users to manipulate ticket options and bypass access control restrictions, potentially leading to unauthorized access to sensitive information or actions within the ticketing system.
Remediation
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to OTRS version 3.0.0-beta1 or later, where the ACL-customer-status Ticket Type setting has been fixed to properly enforce access control restrictions on ticket options after an AJAX reload. It is recommended to apply the latest security patches and updates provided by the OTRS project to mitigate the risk of exploitation.
