IBM Maximo Asset Management versions prior to 7.5.0.6 and SmartCloud Control Desk versions prior to 7.5.0.3 and 7.5.1.2 are affected by a vulnerability that enables remote authenticated users to circumvent intended access controls. This allows them to access communication logs associated with unrelated records through unspecified means.

Overview

This vulnerability in IBM Maximo Asset Management and SmartCloud Control Desk could be exploited by authenticated users to gain unauthorized access to communication logs of records they are not supposed to have access to. The issue was first made public on May 20, 2014, with the CVE ID CVE-2013-5460.

Remediation
