Description Preview

The vulnerability exists in Akeeba Restore (restore.php) as used in various versions of Joomla!, Akeeba Backup, Backup Professional for WordPress, Solo, Admin Tools Core and Professional, and CMS Update. When performing a backup or update for an archive, the application fails to delete parameters from $_GET and $_POST when cleansing $_REQUEST. This oversight allows remote attackers to bypass encryption and execute arbitrary code via a command message that extracts a specially crafted archive.
