Description Preview

The Avamar Installation Manager in Dell EMC Avamar Server versions 7.3.1, 7.4.1, and 7.5.0, as well as Dell EMC Integrated Data Protection Appliance versions 2.0 and 2.1, is affected by a missing access control vulnerability. This vulnerability could potentially enable a remote unauthenticated attacker to access and modify the Local Download Service (LDLS) credentials. These credentials are crucial for connecting to Dell EMC Online Support. If the LDLS configuration is altered to an invalid setting, the Avamar Installation Manager may fail to connect to the Dell EMC Online Support website. An attacker could exploit this issue to impersonate the AVI service actions using the compromised credentials.
