Description Preview
When F5 Networks BIG-IP (APM) version 13.0.0-13.1.x is configured as an OAuth Resource Server, it acts as a client application to an external OAuth authorization server. In certain scenarios where communication between BIG-IP APM and the OAuth authorization server is interrupted, APM may fail to display the intended message in the failure response, potentially leading to a denial of service condition.
Overview
This vulnerability affects F5 Networks BIG-IP (APM) versions 13.0.0 to 13.1.x when deployed as an OAuth Resource Server. It can be exploited to cause a denial of service by disrupting communication between BIG-IP APM and the external OAuth authorization server.
Remediation
To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to upgrade their F5 Networks BIG-IP (APM) software to a version that is not affected by this issue. Alternatively, users can mitigate the risk by ensuring proper network connectivity and monitoring for any disruptions in communication between BIG-IP APM and the OAuth authorization server.
