Netwide Assembler (NASM) 2.14rc16 has a heap-based buffer over-read in expand_mmac_params in asm/preproc.c for the special cases of the % and $ and ! characters.
Overview
This vulnerability in NASM could allow an attacker to read beyond the bounds of allocated memory, potentially leading to information disclosure or a denial of service condition. The issue affects NASM version 2.14rc16.
