This vulnerability arises due to a flaw in the protection mechanism against serialized objects, which fails to properly handle certain input patterns.
Overview
This vulnerability in PrestaShop allows an attacker with specific user privileges to execute arbitrary PHP code on the target system, potentially leading to a complete compromise of the application and underlying server.
Remediation
To remediate this vulnerability, users are advised to update their PrestaShop installation to version 1.7.2.5 or later, where the issue has been addressed. Additionally, it is recommended to restrict user privileges to minimize the impact of potential attacks.
