Overview
The vulnerability (CWE-20: Improper Input Validation) in BlackBerry UEM Management Console allows an attacker to cause a denial of service condition. BlackBerry UEM is an enterprise mobility management solution that allows organizations to manage and secure mobile devices. The Management Console is a critical component that administrators use to configure and control the UEM environment. When exploited, this vulnerability can prevent new user connections to the system, effectively blocking administrators from accessing the management interface and potentially disrupting business operations that depend on UEM functionality.
Remediation
Organizations using affected versions of BlackBerry UEM should upgrade to the latest version that contains fixes for this vulnerability. BlackBerry has released patches in newer versions:
- For 12.13.x installations: Upgrade to version 12.13.1 QF3 or later
- For 12.12.x installations: Upgrade to version 12.12.1a QF7 or later
Additionally, organizations should:
