Description Preview

The vulnerability is due to the improper verification of cryptographic signature during the installation of a VPN driver via the TeamViewer_service.exe component of TeamViewer Remote Clients prior version 15.58.4 for Windows. This could allow an attacker with local unprivileged access on a Windows system to elevate their privileges and install drivers. The affected versions include TeamViewer Remote Full Client and Remote Host versions less than 15.58.4, 14.7.48796, 13.2.36225, 12.0.259312, and 11.0.259311. The vulnerability has been assigned a high severity rating with a CVSS v3.1 base score of 8.8.
